Today, I am sharing with you my favourite recipe ie Masala bhindi.It really brings back the memories of my childhood where my grandmom used to prepare this sabzi for the whole family.It was big treat for me when she offered this ladyfinger sabji to me.Ohh!! Can someone take me back to that phase of my life.I really miss those days. This curry is loved by my toddler as well as my hubby.
Bhindi cut lenght wise – 10 -15
Tomatoes and onions finely chopped – ½ Cup
Ginger Garlic Green chilli onion paste – 1 tsp
Cumin Seed (Zeera) – ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder (Haldi) – ½ tsp
Coriander Cumin powder (Dhania)- 1 tsp
Red chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 3 – 4 tbsp
Heat the oil in the pan on medium heat.After a while,add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.After that add hing along with onions ,ginger,garlic and green chilly paste and salt.Stir continuously so that it does not stick on the bottom of the pan.When onions becomes translucent add chopped tomatoes and stir it well.At this stage add all the masalas ie Coriander Cumin powder , turmeric power,red chilly powder. Let everything cook properly till the oil is seperated from the gravy.After that add bhindi and allow it to cook for atleast 10 to 15 minutes and stirring in between when needed.At last before serving,garnish it with coriander (Dhaniya)
Enjoy yummy Bhindi masala with roti or naan or rice.
