Pregnancy is a blessing for the woman.But we do trash our bodies just to give life to another tiny human being. Some of us have done it many a times. (I have no idea how?)Yes, there are many great things that happen during pregnancy but the miracle of life is a struggle. There are lot of side effects of being pregnant. Here are some things which I definitely could’ve done without during pregnancy.So here are Top 5 things I do not MISS about being PREGNANT
1 MORNING SICKNESS:Oh how can I forget this morning sickess?? I was in India, in early 2015 when I came to know about my pregnancy. I was happy along with my family including my close friends. But I was not keeping well.So unfortunately all our plans for travelling other places including interstate failed but I got enough rest at my mum’s place which I am grateful for. This evil thing ie morning sickness lasted for more than 3 months and obviously I dont miss it 😊.
2 DOCTOR”S VISIT/Appointment with the midwife:I visited doctor more than I visited him during my entire life before pregnancy. No its not exaggeration.. I mean it .
If you live in Australia, you will be aware about the scans, tests you need to do when you are pregnant like dating scan, 20 weeks scan etc also the blood test for gestation diabetes 😞.
3 ACIDITY/HEARTBURN: You eat less or you eat more or you survive on air still you will have heartburn,acidity,indigestion.Well,I am talking about myself which is not true for every pregnant lady out there.
You might be knowing the old wives’ tale that heartburn means the baby is growing hair? Well, that turned out to be true for me. He came out with a full head of hair after I suffered from severe heartburn for 9 months
4 MOOD SWINGS:I will be happy in one moment and will be in completely different mood in another.Well,you should congratulate my hubby for handling me during the tough times.
Let me give you a very good example of my mood swings.Once we decided to have Subway for dinner.At that time my mom called from India,I cried and told her that I was not feeling ok and I miss her.I ate my sandwich which hubby handed it to me and after eating one bite of it ,I was in happy mood.
My mood swings were almost connected to a lack of food.
5 SWOLLEN FEET:I suffered from swollen feel for only the time being. I used the compression socks and it really helped during my pregnancy. I also controlled my sugar and salt intake which bought everything was under control.
I could go on and on for days about all of the bad or negative things about being pregnant. Sometimes we tend to remember the bad stuff but pregnancy itself taught me so many things about my body as a whole.
I’m very grateful to have a happy, healthy baby boy.
